2026 Spring Rowing Fees
MHS Rowing fees are handled through the Hamar Rowing Club (HRC). This fee covers:
-
Food (chuck wagon)
-
Lodging for three out of town regattas (this expense went up 40% for 2026*)
-
Equipment
-
Five months of boathouse operations (facility, coaching, chuck wagon trailer, launches, safety equipment, shell repairs, etc.).
-
The fee does not pay for new shells. HRC raises funds separately for that.

Fee & Due Date: The cost for the MHS Rowing Club spring 2026 fee is $750 and is due by April 1. Rowers can participate in fundraising to cover or lower the cost of their season fees.

Payment: Checks can be made payable to Harmar Rowing Club and dropped off in the lock box at the boathouse.
Payment Plan: If you are unable to meet the deadline you can contact the HRC treasurer (Sherry McKenzie) and make arrangements. We are happy to work out a payment plan. If you fail to pay the dues or make arrangements your rower will not be permitted to practice, travel, or race in the regattas.
National Championship (SRAA) regatta: It is is the ultimate goal of any team to participate in SRAA. Since only qualifying boats can attend, regular season rowing fees do not cover the cost of attendance. Rowers are expected to absorb the cost of attending.

*Since hotel costs have risen so much, HRC will be covering over $4,000 of it to keep the spring fee at $750. We understand this fee is a lot so HRC is investing to make sure it's easier to manage. There are plenty of fundraisers available to offset this expense. Overall, even though it seems high, this fee is extremely low for a five month top-tier athletic program that competes across the Midwest.
